If you are a Brand Manager looking for the next step in your career, or a Senior Brand Manager looking for a new challenge, I have an amazing opportunity with a leading FMCG business based in the Greater London area.

You will focus on developing one of their key brands within the Healthcare team, working within key Retail/Pharmacy partners. 

Summary

You will take full responsibility for managing your portfolio range of brands and work alongside the Group Marketing Manager. You will lead the development of strategic, insight led, brand plans based on brand equity drivers which will achieve and exceed company profit targets and set the future direction for the brand. You will create and brilliantly execute the plans through the development of compelling communications and promotions that prompt the required consumer and customer response to hit targets. Continuing on the unrivalled success of the brand you will develop strategies to fuel the growth of the brand, including identifying new product opportunities and then bringing those concepts to market. You will be a positive and proactive member of the marketing team, who leads by example, helping to create a strong, energised, performance led team who consistently achieve their goals.

About your day to day

  • Deep understanding of consumer needs and habits within your brand's category creating actionable consumer insight[s]
  • Market trend analysis giving guidance for tomorrow's agenda for the company
  • Work with Marketing Director and/or Group Marketing Manager in setting individual brand strategic priorities for brand growth and the subsequent objectives and targets
  • Develop annual brand plans that will deliver the strategies and objectives with a robust programme of activities. Create the plan with partner agencies functions and align key stakeholders to support them.
  • Review brand plans on a quarterly basis to ensure targets are met
  • Pricing strategy, price elasticity analysis and econometric modelling as appropriate, to inform strategy decisions
  • Brand and category performance analysis - focusing on volume, sales value and gross profit on internal accounts and market share and rate of sale externally
  • P&L responsibility and on-going monitoring of the impact of decisions and actions on brand profitability
  • Look for opportunities and make recommendations to ensure brands meet or exceed target
  • Tight budget management ensuring timely recommendations and accurate allocation, monitoring and control

 About you!

  • Significant marketing experience with FMCG or CPG brands (Experience in managing healthcare OTC brands is a must)
  • Strong experience in developing brand strategies and annual plans
  • Experience creating and managing marketing programmes across (ATL, BTL and digital/social)
  • Strong financial / commercial acumen
  • Substantial experience in leading new product development, from concept generation to commercialisation
  • Excellent analytical skills - financial and market research/data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Very organised with thorough understanding of the usual administrative processes and budget management
  • Additional European languages desirable but not essential
