Area Sales Manager – FMCG
Our Client
Established over 15 years ago, our client is a global leading brand of premium pet products. They have experienced year on year growth and are now looking to expand their sales team.
Field Based, covering the North of England, they are seeking an Area Sales Manager to account manage existing relationships with independent retailers & garden centres across the patch. There will also be an element of prospecting for new business.
They are in the process of releasing some fantastic new ranges so it’s a great time for a salesperson to join this fast growth business.
Being part of a much larger group, there’s plenty of career progression on offer.
Responsibilities
- Drive sales and profitability across your current customer portfolio
- Explore and follow through on new potential account opportunities
- Attend buyer meetings, agree joint business plans to drive sales
- Strategic business planning, implementing this strategy
- Attend trade shows when required
- Organized, self-motivated, numerate and analytical
- Communicate with clients regularly to ensure excellent customer service is achieved.
- Set and meet sales budgets
- Be a team member who supports the business goals
- Be an effective team player building good working relationships with all internal departments
The Successful Candidate
- 2 years+ Field Sales Experience
- Must have experience of selling into pet stores, garden centres or other independent retail stores
- Experience building brands with key retailers and distribution partners
- Full UK Driving Licence
