Join the world of PepsiCo Supply Chain, the Southern Region Distribution Centre (SRDC) is our largest distribution site in the UK. Working closely with our manufacturing and supply chain teams we distribute the majority of our own products, and this is all made possible by the SRDC. You will be a valued member of the SRDC site leadership team supporting site strategy development and partnering with the Logistics Leadership Team on productivity delivery and Lean leadership capability. This is an opportunity to help shape and build our Supply chain of the future.

Position Summary

Duration: 12 month contract
Reports to: SRDC Site Lead
Location: Leicester

Main Accountability

Owner of Lean Implementation in SRDC and Lean Leadership capability within the Logistics Leadership team
Delivery of the Performance excellence and continuous improvement agenda within SRDC
Develop and provide governance to deliver the Logistics productivity agenda

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Leadership of the SRDC site performance improvement agenda encompassing Lean, Six Sigma, technical capability and productivity delivery
  • Deliver continuous performance improvement through identification, support and leadership of projects, driving improvements in efficiency and other KPIs
  • Co-ordination of Logistics productivity delivery developing a robust multiyear pipeline driving focus towards improvements through key projects and activities
  • Lead the development of Lean Leadership capability within the Logistics Leadership Team
  • Create and sustain a site operations culture that is built on Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and clear accountability
  • A key member of the site leadership team & wider operations team - influencing the broader site agenda and ensuring consistency of approach & best practice development
  • Provide emergency operational cover if required to maintain business continuity

What we are looking for

  • Clearly demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate, empower and coach a large team consisting of managers, staff and frontline colleagues - Essential
  • Demonstrated track record of applying Lean/CI principles to realise business goals and deliver productivity - Essential
  • Background within Logistics - Desirable
  • A smart thinker with the ability to join the dots and build winning strategies for long term business success
  • Ability to interpret data and formulate results with actionable recommendations
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt qualified, Minitab proficiency a plus
  • Proven ability in strategy development and deployment, thinking beyond tactical task execution
  • Clear communicator, able to deliver complex messages in a simple manner
  • Influencing and relationship building skills across all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated drive for results and a can do attitude. Leverages a keen understanding of key business drivers in own area to get results and facilitate change
