Logistics Team Manager (Selsey)
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Team Manager who strong organisation and people skills to join our exciting and ever-growing team at Natures Way Foods Ltd at Europe's biggest bagged salad factory!
The role of Logistics Team Manager at Natures Way Foods is to co-ordinate highly motivated and passionate teams to continuously deliver quality factory performance in line with customer and business expectations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will have 7 section managers reporting directly into you, so people management is essential.
You will need to have great attention to detail and a passion for food, having previous experience within a FMCG industry is desirable but not essential.
Fresh produce is an interesting and varied industry. Your problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you will encounter seasonal challenges, varying raw product quality and tight deadlines as we can't store our fresh products so it is a tight turnaround to get things in and out.
A fast-paced environment with peak periods, you will be responsible for overseeing logistics for the whole site, communicating with the business at all levels.
As a business we are always audit ready to ensure compliance and to maintain the high standards we strive for.
You will be dealing with external contractors organising waste management & MHE Equipment.
You will be working in an FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods) 24hr Food production environment.
Lettuce likes to be cool so temperatures on average are 3°C - 5°C so it is cold, think what it would be like to work in a fridge! Don't worry, you get a company fleece and plenty of free tea and coffee on breaks. You will also be doing plenty of steps to keep you warm!
It's a fast pace environment but if you enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck into things and have a passion to be the best then we want to hear from you.
