Newly created role for a Global Sales Director, working for a premium manufacture of baby products.

Client Details

The business are a premium manufacture of baby products, with a huge focus on using natural, chemicle free ingredients. They have a portfolio of two key bransd that are sold through premium retailers, ecommerce customers and internationally. They boast an incerdible culture with a very loyal, hard working team who genuinely live and breath the brand.

Description

As Global Sales Director, you will report into the Commercial Director and manage a team of 2. The business have an international presence across GCC regionals, and they are looking for someone to come in and build their business in Europe across their two key brands.

Some of your responsibilties will include:
  • Managing organisational sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, profitability and expense controls
  • Main focus being on Europe, with a long term goal of launching in America
  • Is the go to person supporting the Commercial Director with full accountability of Export channel and global growth targets
  • Complete responsibility for the delivery of the Global revenue and profitability targets
  • Drive D2C global expansion strategy solidifying the profitability of the business
  • Communicate clearly support required to drive growth clearly, in a timely way and effectively
  • Manage forecasting with merchandising to ensure optimal stock efficiencies for your channel
  • Establish global sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for each channel; projecting expected sales volume and profit
  • Ensure best in class forecasting across the sales team, managing them closely to ensure key deadlines are met
  • Work closely with Operations Director and finance to ensure orders are dispatched to achieve monthly budget
  • Work closely with B2C channel as the key priority for our business
  • Manage closely with finance retailer credit, particularly independent and export channels
  • Set out Global strategic plans working with the Export team to deliver these
  • Provide new product sales and profitability forecasts to ensure commercial viability of our products
  • Set out revenue budgets for each channel managing the sales team to achieve those sales goals
  • Setting individual sales targets with the sales team managing bonus payments
  • Leading weekly trade meetings and reporting to the business any issues that arise
  • Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary
  • Overseeing the activities and performance of the sales team
  • Work closely with marketing to build end execute channel plans
  • Manage team cost effectively with smart frugality
  • Hire, develop and retain a high performing team




Profile

Requirements:
  • Proven track record of delivering growth and winning new markets in an FMCG environment
  • Existing network of distributors in key markets
  • Strategic, detailed and strong minded individual with strong commercial acumen
  • Experience of sales management and budget control
  • Demonstrable track record of driving revenue and profitability through customer centric approach
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation




Job Offer

Up to £70K, company car, pension, healthcare, bonus



When you are not with customers, you will be expected to be in the office due to the seniority of this leadership position.
