About The Role
Full time, permanent vacancy within our New Business & Acquisitions team based in regions across England and Wales. Competitive base with company car, bonus & pension scheme.
As a New Business & Acquisitions Manager, you will deliver the annually set number of New accounts and Sales from establishing and securing quality new business leads from across the Bestway Retail portfolio of brands.
You will be part of a team that supports creation and executes implementation of the new business strategy and will work closely with other Bestway Retail functions to maximise productivity and the results generated from all newly recruited accounts.
You will need to initiate and develop positive networking relationships with the wider field-based Bestway Retail colleagues, as well as developing strong links with external industry contacts, to drive activity and support for New business lead generation. Working cross-functionally with colleagues, you will ensure all required Literature and Presentations are in place and remain relevant, to enable the successful execution of planned Recruitment campaigns across identified retail sectors.
This role also involves a requirement to proactively network with existing Bestway Retail operators who have a desire to grow their store numbers, therefore working with agents and approaching retailers to ascertain acquisition opportunities, is a key aspect of the position.
To be successful in the role you will need a solid commercial understanding of the Symbol Group industry, including competitor activity and market trends and have the ability to spot opportunities for new member recruitment, whilst consistently demonstrating sound business judgement. You will need a detailed eye for retailing standards and the ability to assess a good fit for Bestway Retail, you will have strong knowledge of EPOS, including skills in the interrogation of data.
This role requires a confident, driven and enthusiastic self-starter, who can influence, take responsibility and is not afraid to positively challenge and disrupt. Showing great levels of tenacity and being a strong problem solver, you will thrive from creating and executing a detailed plan to develop and manage a portfolio of New business clients and opportunities. Building relationships at all levels will come naturally to you and you will enjoy working in a field-based team of peers who consistently share best practice, networking strategies and support each other’s challenges.
