The company

Our client is a successful division of a major FMCG privately-owned company, operating across a number of diverse categories. The company specialises in natural food and drink brands sold in all major supermarkets, health food shops and independent retailers. The culture is entrepreneurial, innovative and collaborative.

Our client is now seeking to accelerate the growth of their business further by building a strong, ambitious marketing team. A new senior role has been created, Marketing & Insight Controller.

The role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, your remit will include market insight, category and brand strategy and brand activation. You will build brand strategies, and position compelling propositions. You will deliver outstanding execution for ATL / consumer communications. Creating a culture of uncovering and utilising consumer insights to drive business action is key. You will provide inspirational leadership to direct reports and the broader team, in their development and achievement of both personal and business objectives. 

This role is seen as one of the key marketing roles in the wider company and a platform for developing a senior career in the Group. We are seeking a high calibre recruit with strong potential to develop themselves, the role and their career.

About you

To qualify for this exciting career-developing marketing opportunity, you will have built your FMCG consumer marketing experience within a well-known food or drink branded company. 

With a structured yet highly entrepreneurial flair for FMCG consumer marketing, you have gained a breadth of experience covering all elements of the marketing mix and can proudly articulate your brand growth successes and achievements. You are energetic and flexible, with a curious and creative approach. You are happy to get your hands dirty digging for the detail but can also step higher to take the helicopter view.
