Company

We are Lantmännen Unibake – Towards billions of smiling tummies

Present on all continents, Lantmännen Unibake is a global leader in bakery products. We are a nation of bakers – both proud to build on the tradition of bread to match the lifestyle trends of the 21st century and humble to the fact that we are part of a history that is as old as civilization itself.

Evidence shows that stone-age makers made the first breads thousands of years before farming. This makes bread one of the oldest prepared foods. Today it is one of the world’s main sources of nutrition.

Our mission

Lantmännen Unibake has undergone huge changes over the years. However, the purpose of our business has never changed. It is all about the joy of food. We love our business: the smell of freshly baked croissants or swirls. The mouth-watering feeling and the happy melody our tummies play when we bite into a crisp, light and flaky crust, accompanied by a warm, sweet and sumptuous filling. This is what gets us up in the morning.

Our purpose is to see our breads and pastries make people feel satisfied and happy in every corner of the world. We aim to reach billions of people of all ages in all countries around the globe and make billions of tummies smile.

Our vision

Building on our passion for baking and our mission to provide pleasure through food, we have a clear vision of where we are heading. We have foot on the ground in multiple countries, a solid history with many years of investing in competences and we want to be agile and act fast.

Culture and organisation

We believe that we have culture of openness, friendliness and trust. We share insights and work together across teams and borders to reach our vision. We all thrive because we are part of something bigger and because every one of us can realize our potential across businesses, cultures and countries.

It is all in the mix. At Lantmännen Unibake, we are more than 6,000 employees. We all have our own background, skills and experience – all of us are unique, all of us are working together. A mix that adds to the uniqueness of Unibake.

Always hungry – a never-ending appetite for more

We built our company on a culture of entrepreneurship. Originally, Lantmännen Unibake grew through the acquisition of bakeries that were strong within their local markets. We added structure and created the foundation for the strength and scope of Lantmännen Unibake today.

We call it “One Unibake”. We believe it unlocks the additional potential of our subsidiaries by organizing core processes and operations in a structured setup.

We keep customer proximity, agility and accountability on a local level and add the strength of a global organization – all encompassed in our values.

We focus equally on growth through acquisitions and organic growth, consolidation and the creation of a highly integrated group structure.
