Our Business Development Executive role is very broad, requiring the ability to operate strategically whilst executing on the company's sales plan. The successful candidate will be required to implement company initiatives, manage and meet with clients (schools and local authorities), apply for formal tenders and sell direct directly to schools and local authorities.

Description

Job Specification:
  • Prospecting and qualifying enquiries - inbound and outbound
  • Successfully taking prospective clients through the full sales journey in a timely and efficient manner (enquiry - prospect - active client)
  • Consultative sales involving fact finding and rapport building
  • Retaining and growing financially strong accounts
  • Responding to formal tenders via ProContract
  • Ensuring framework requirements are adhered to and successful bids are secured
  • Regular attendance at meetings with prospective and existing clients in Greater London and nationwide
  • Developing and writing tailored and professional sales proposal
  • Designing and presenting compelling sales presentations
  • Input and design into the company sales process and procedures
  • Collaborating with internal teams including product development and operations


Profile

Skills and Experience:
  • Account management and consultative sales experience within the public sector (schools/MATs/local authorities)
  • Experience and knowledge of the education sector, ideally for-profit education
  • Proven track record in selling and developing large contracts involving education, professional services and/or recruitment
  • Knowledge of academic qualifications, exam boards, school curriculum across all key stages of education
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of client commissioning protocols and procedures in the education sector (safeguarding, vetting and recruitment, GDPR, data protection etc.)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to achieve revenue targets
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Strong teamwork with a vibrant and agile approach to your role
  • Analytical approach with the ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Solution focused
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office- good Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Education required - Bachelor's Degree
