The promotion of all Boon Edam Limited new products (see www.boonedam.com for full information) to End User Clients, Architects, Main-Contractors, Façade Contractors and Access Control Integrators within the East of England sales territory.
The East sales area is a high performing area, delivering the highest level of order intake in 2020. The position has become available due to internal promotion of the current Area Sales Manager.
The most important part of the role in the first 3-6 months is to create relationships with our existing customer base to ensure that order intake and profit remains high and that expectation of the SMT are meet. The Quote Bank of open opportunities is at a great level and forecasts suggest that the East Sales Area is in good health and high performance is expected during the rest of 2021 and into 2022 and beyond.
We are looking for someone to continue developing the area and over-achieve by seeking and developing new customers, especially in the Security Product market where Boon Edam are well known with the Architectural community and in major cities, but less well known regionally and within the access control integrator market.
As an indication, expectation in terms of order intake in the East Sales Area is £2 million + of sales at an agreed profit margin.
The East Sales Area covers the “outside donut” of the M25 including Home Counties, East Coast stretching as far up as Nottingham and Lincoln. To be successful and to ensure the best coverage of the most prolific areas of the East Sales Area the successful candidate should ideally live within the Home Counties.
The role is home based with the mix of field activity and time spent at their home office, but generally will be 3 days out: 2 days in but will vary depending on the demands of the role. Although the role should not entail overnight accommodation on a regular basis, there will be occasional need to stay away from home either in the UK and in Netherlands so flexibility of working hours is essential. You will also require a full driving licence as well as an in-date passport.
What Are Your Skills Necessary to Perform This Role?
- Proven sales track record.
- High motivated and self-sufficient.
- A working knowledge of CRM systems.
- Experience of using C4C/ SAP would be advantageous but not essential.
- Outstanding organisational, analytical and presentation skills.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Excellent communicator able to liaise with and build customer, supplier, and partner rapport.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programmes.
- GCSE Maths and English, Grade C or higher.
