About the role
This role is critical to the sustainable growth and ultimate success of the business within the next decade and key points are;
- Achieve sales and margin objectives for the organisation.
- To manage and inspire the regional sales managers and sales representatives.
- Identify and develop a training plan that creates a more professional and effective sales team.
- Implement and monitor a clear pricing policy that reflects the aims of the business.
- Develop promotional programmes that help to stimulate sales.
- Develop relationships internally to help to achieve greater overall sales.
- Build strong personal relationships with Key Accounts.
- Manage the work programmes of relevant staff to ensure optimum productivity, personal development and impact on KPIs.
- To lead on implementation, reporting and reviewing of strategic and operational sales plans to drive sales and revenue.
- To inspire the sales team to effectively manage their time balancing the need to protect revenue with spending time hunting new business.
- To stay abreast of progress and direction in the market place to capitalise and lead on future development.
About the individual
- You will have experience working within Building Products or Commercial Interiors sector ideally.
- Have experience of managing a team of Sales Managers and Sales Reps effectively.
- Ideally have experience within the Commercial or Merchant, Retail market place.
- Working to and achieving sales and margin budgets.
- Have used KPIs to influence and drive an organisation.
- The incumbent will have a demonstrable track record of success of partnerships with National Customers and multiple Retailers.
- Large Team Leadership.
- Good motivator.
- Can communicate clearly and precisely key objectives.
- Computer literate, including CRM systems.
- Good numeracy and written skills.
- Have shown leadership in previous roles.
