You will be responsible for an Amazon expansion plan across UKI and Nordics as well as defining and realising new business opportunities in online grocery and online pharmacy key accounts with the aim of driving profitable growth for a leading Vision Care Business.

Client Details

A global Vision Care market leader united around their mission of improving people's lives with health care products, manufacturing and marketing health care products in approximately 100 countries.

  • Identify and scope out new business opportunities for the UKI Vision Care and OTC within the grocery and pharmacy accounts with a focus on customer online expansion plans
  • Manage the Amazon account across Vision care and OTC lines for the UKI and Nordics cluster negotiating annual trade terms including subscribe & save, AVS, damage allowance and marketing accruals that deliver profitable growth for both the business and the customer
  • Liaise with the Amazon outsourced agency push pull to devise plans to drive operational effectiveness of Amazon including brand registry, pcogs, buy box and promotional investments
  • Understand how to manage price bids via buy box in a technology system like Vendor Central and work with Amazon Vendor Service packages
  • Manage the Nordics launch into the eyecare category on the Amazon platform working in conjunction with Pharma/OTC team
  • Responsible for scoping out direct to consumer sellers model working with legal, regulatory & marketing to successfully build the 3rd party platform
  • Work in conjunction with the European Head of Key Accounts to optimize trade terms and freight conditions across the cluster
  • Implement and track metrics for recording the success and quality of Amazon initiatives. Use these metrics to guide your work and uncover hidden areas of opportunity.
  • You will work with marketing to expand or consolidate the VC & OTC product portfolio for Amazon and other Key Accounts with the aim of building brand awareness & achieving profitable share growth online
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the e-commerce industry and competitive environment including knowledge of competitive product offerings
  • Negotiate business deals and contracts as required working closely with the Commercial Analyst and Finance to ensure approval on pricing and margins
  • Analyse customer data and make recommendations in order to maximize the potential of the account. Execute successfully on the plan recommended
  • Prepare and deliver business reviews regarding progress and state of health for the respective accounts and opportunities
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and operational metrics
  • Establish effective relationships and collaborations with other departments (Marketing, Professional Services, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain) to ensure strong plan delivery and alignment across the cluster

  • Experience of managing the Amazon account preferably in healthcare / pharmaceutical setting
  • You will have experience of negotiating with large accounts in Retail, Pharmacy or Grocery
  • An ability to demonstrate results and achievement within a sales or marketing role
  • Create customer centric value propositions linked to core consultative services offerings that will deliver against a win/win business result for the business and the customer
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills in your career to date
  • Driven agreements and negotiate contracts with key customers working with internal colleagues and managing the processes to produce contracts to secure business
  • Proven Ecommerce account management experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of sales and understanding of category management
  • Proven marketing experience in a similar role
