Kingfisher is the world’s biggest Indian Beer and is available in over 5000 on trade restaurants and bars throughout the UK, a rare opportunity has arisen to join the British Curry Channel (BCC) sales team within KBE Drinks. We are looking for a Territory Development Manager to look after a patch of approximately 500 BCC restaurants.
The individual will have experience of the On Trade, ideally beer and specifically Restaurants.
The roles core area is North West and you will have the responsibility to retain, develop and grow our brands within this area. The role will report into the Head of Sales who will encourage you to think and act like an owner and you will be empowered to think strategically to grow our footprint rapidly.
o Manage and retain approximately 500 independent Indian Restaurants and some Multi-site restaurant groups.
o Negotiate effectively with customers to ensure optimum profile and return (new listings, customer activation, promotional support).
o Report into and liaise on a regular basis with the Head of Sales.
o KPIs focused on distribution, volume and brand building opportunities.
o Ability to develop own gap plans to deliver success.
o True ability to manage and develop relationships across our customer base.
o Brand priority of Kingfisher whilst leveraging wider portfolio of Peacock Cider, Bombay Bicycle IPA and Sagres Portuguese Beer.
o The successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 4 evenings per week as this is when your customers operate.
What We Are Looking For And Essential Criteria:
o Background exposure to working with premium drinks and selling premium brands within the UK On Trade – 18 month’s minimum experience.
o Demonstrable evidence of good gravitas, passion, drive, creativity and commercial organisation skills.
o Understand the importance of working and influencing 3rd party wholesalers.
o Strong negotiation, organisation and influencing skills to drive commercial success.
o Track record of developing brands and delivering tangible success via a definite structured sales process.
o IT and PC literate – Microsoft / CRM systems.
o Passionate about beer and food within the restaurant sector.
o Sound dispense technical knowledge and understanding.
o Experience in this channel would be beneficial but not critical.
o Hindi or equivalent language skill would be an advantage but no way a necessity.
Field based role, however the successful candidate must live on patch.
