Development of new business from enquiry to order, implementation of service offers, business development on new products and features, monitoring performance, and implementation of the product marketing strategy.

Description
Within the Sales Team, the Sales Manager will contribute to develop my clients activities in existing markets and by bringing in new opportunities. The role needs to cover all aspects of a sales function, selling in new product and range changes, handling sales data on a daily and monthly basis and reviewing on a regular basis with customers and reviewing performance monthly and annually internally with sales director. Development of new business from enquiry to order, implementation of service offers, business development on new products and features, monitoring and reviewing monthly and annually, implementation of the product marketing strategy.
Main internal daily contacts, inside sales function, manufacturing personnel, supply chain, marketing department and finance department.
The Sales Manager reports to the Sales and Marketing Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve Budget for Volume, and Average Sales Price as set each year for all products. Place major emphasis and selling time on High Value Added Products
- Develop new business opportunities with key/new accounts, as well as all other customers
- Build annual budget together with the Business Analyst for the Key Accounts. Forecast quarterly against the budget to enable planning to be more accurately controlled
- On a monthly basis maintain strict overview of revenue collection, monitoring of non-paid invoices, understanding the reason for the non-payment and put corrective action in place to rectify
- Know the main competitors, and their products within the Geographic area and where possible understand their pricing distribution and service strategy
- Knowledge of customer base. Know the key players and influencers in each of our accounts, the organisation structure and monitor changes within each organization
- Follow up on the International Tenders with Agents and Customers. Consolidate the tender documents and organize the submission
- Development of action plans for increasing sales
- Customers management including quotation and customer service
- Provide Marketing team with inputs from the field : competition, products and technology needs, pricing
The regions where these activities are foreseen are Europe and Middle East. However, you may also be asked to look after clients in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Australia.
Profile
As follows:-
Mandatory:-
- 5 to 10 years minimum experience in a Sales position
- Degree Qualified
- Language Skills: Ability to communicate in the English language verbally and in writing
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications, international tenders and standards
- International travel required in the region - roughly 12 trips per year which could be anything from a day trip to a week stay in a given location
Desirable but not essential:-
- Solid technical background in technological products
- A master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Relevant experience in the Security Market or Governmental Solutions, or similar segment
