Job Details

This is an SME style business that bats in the court like a big player when it needs to.  The overall impact has created a niche nimble game maker in their chosen category who has earned the respect of their customers.  And the consumers love their products!

To continue this success, the Commercial Director wishes to appoint a category manager able to grow the business in the UK retail space through engagement of category principles using data from the key category sources of, Neilson, Kantar Retail link, Dunhumby and aimia.

Whilst you will not necessarily have had exposure to all these in your career, as training can be provided, you will have the aptitude to create exciting insights and category strategies to win within their chosen product areas.

This is an environment for those earning freedom from the corporate glue of large multinationals as there will be few “policies and procedures” but plenty of freedom.  So you must be self-organised and motivated to deliver in a fast paced and uncompromising environment

With between 18 months -3 years’ experience in a commercial category function this will provide an opportunity to develop your career and lead to future promotion and development.
