National Account Manager – Waitrose, Ocado and Lidl

Based Home / Bristol area c2-3 days / week

Salary DOE plus bonus and package

Our client: 

  • Family-owned food producer with portfolio of lovely award-winning chilled products
  • With a huge amount of heritage and state-of-the-art production facailities
  • Has strong foothold in the UK market and exports to more than 40 countries.
  • Now seek to recruit a growth driven National Account Manager to drive the development of their existing Waitrose, Ocado & Lidl customers

The role: 

  • As National Account Manager you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with these key customers
  • You’ll have full P&L and strategic responsibility for Waitrose, Ocado & Lidl to ensure the accounts deliver to their full potential across the entire portfolio
  • The nature of the business means that this is a hands-on role and the individual must be prepared to liaise cross functionally to ensure that opportunities are ‘landed’ and delivered to the standard required by the customer
  • Whilst reporting directly to the Sales & Marketing Director, you’ll have a huge amount of autonomy and freedom to make decisions and you will also be responsible for the development & direct of a National Account Executive

Ideal candidate: 

  • You will already be operating at NAM level, having experienced a minimum of two trading cycles
  • Be commercially astute with a strong negotiations track record; comfortable in the numbers and managing the P&L
  • Skilled working with cross functional team members by adopting a collaborative working style is crucial
  • Organised, methodical, analytical and proactive with strong influencing skills
  • Finally, you must have a passion for food and desire to work in added value chilled food category
