Business Development Manager/Key Account Manager – Garden Products
£33-45,000 Basic, Open Ended Commission, Company Car or Car Allowance
Our Client is a rapidly expanding Business supplying garden products to a variety of different channels.
A vacancy exists for a proactive BDM/KAM to develop primarily new business with Key/Major accounts across a number of traditional and new channels.
Candidates will ideally have some experience/exposure to Multiple Retail accounts eg Garden Centre Groups (Dobbies, Blue Diamond, Strikes etc ), or top four, or DIY sheds such as Homebase or B & Q. It could equally well be into multiple electrical wholesalers ( City Electrical Factors and the like ). Or into trade type outlets such as Screwfix, Jewson, Costco etc.
Our Client may also be open to somebody who is hungry and energetic but without the full exposure to National Accounts, provided that they are a real go getter and hungry for success. Also with some idea of how multi-site accounts work and probably having managed some small / key accounts with four or more branches.
This is predominantly a new business role, so candidates need to be able to demonstrate solid new business skills, as well as the ability to manage an account and through good customer care, to grow that account.
Candidates can be from any Non Food category better still if they happen to be from Seasonal, Christmas trees, gardening, housewares, garden furniture, pets, gifts etc ).
Basic salary is dependent on experience/requirements - £33-45,000. The commission is open ended and could be quite substantial if the candidate works hard and is successful. There is a choice or company car or car allowance.
