Business Development Executive

£25,000 - £30,000 plus commision

London, Manchester, Glasgow.

Tired of seeing ads for typical sales roles with traditional businesses? This opportunity is a million miles away from that.

First, you’ll be selling an exciting new technological product that every pub, bar or restaurant needs more than ever right now. It’s a chance to change a $570 billion industry.

Secondly, you’ll be a key part of a start-up with a fast-changing, highly collaborative culture. If you’d rather a rollercoaster ride than a rigid routine, you’ll be in your element here.

A huge opportunity

Employed by 2EM on an FTC basis, you’ll be representing, Europe’s leading provider of hospitality technology products and services. Having secured funding from some well-respected investors, the company is powering forward with a new digital POS product called ServedUp, which allows hospitality businesses to process orders and payment in seconds. This technology has the power to digitise a $570 billion industry and create a more connected world.

That’s the vision. Right now, when the idea of a heaving bar still feels a long way away, this technology is perfect – it can cut queues, speed up table service and keep sales flowing. The product almost sells itself. Almost – that’s where you come in.

What you can add

Your role is simple. Build relationships. Set up appointments. Demonstrate the product. Hit your targets. Basically: to sell.

Hopefully, that’s as much steer as you need to get stuck in. The start-up world needs self-starters – people who learn fast.

Beyond that, you’ll need to tick these boxes:

  • You almost certainly have some field sales experience. You need to be able build a rapport with customers and demonstrate the product in person.
  • You’ve worked in the hospitality or food and drink industry before –you understand the language of covers, customer service, EPOS and ordering; you can empathize with the changes businesses are having to embrace.
  • You’re tech savvy. Maybe you’ve done a degree in a technological subject or sold similar  products before. Either way, you’re someone who can confidently deal with technical questions and translate features into benefits.

In return, there’s a competitive salary package with attractive commission. We’ll give you a laptop and screen to work from home when you’re not out visiting potential clients. There’s also an office in Victoria when you need it and (once things get back to normal) plenty of company-wide social events.

If you’re enterprising and full of ideas – like – there’s so much scope here to keep learning and to progress your career. This is a business on a huge growth curve that likes to promote from within.
