Job Details

A Senior Category Development Manager stemming from an FMCG commercial sales background, to influence and drive key Pharmacy retailer relationships to advance the in-store execution of the OTC category.

Client Details

A global Healthcare OTC brand leader.

  • Cross functional workings with national accounts & trade marketing to ensure and deliver clear strategic building blocks resulting in store excellent and retailer performance.
  • Develop and deliver effective 4P execution, understanding of customers, categories and consumers to maximise category performance.
  • Liaise with Trade Marketing to ensure that NPD plans and wider categories are aligned and best practices are shared
  • Customise strategies and plans to align with and support the retailers strategy
  • Effectively negotiate mutually beneficial solutions with various stakeholders and influence key decision makers to improve in-store presence and execution of the category
  • Implement own initiatives from concept to in-store execution
  • Drive range review process
  • Understand and consider the impact of own decisions and independent action within the wide business
  • Manage short and long term contractual tactics and strategies

  • Sales / Marketing or MS&P FMCG management background
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and good understanding of Customer Management Process
  • Ability to analyse large volumes of complex information, interpret & construct category plans
  • Great communicator,. able to engage & influence stakeholders at all operating levels
  • Strong knowledge and workings of Syndicated Data (Nielsen / IRI etc)
  • Strong negotiating expertise

Job Offer

3-6 Month FTC or Interim day rate and a highly competitive rate
