Recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover the South East patch selling into Builders Merchants, Agricultural Merchants, Fencing Suppliers, and Hardware Stores, 95% are current accounts who spend regularly so it’s very much a relationship building role, as well as advising the customer and merchandising their displays. Another crucial element of this role is within garden centres, y client is keen to develop this area of the business so aside from maintain the existing account base the Area Sales Manager for this patch will focus on targeting and developing garden centre accounts both independent as well as larger chains so there will be an element of new business which would suit someone who has garden centre connections already.

About the Company:

A well respected organisation within the DIY sector who have a wide product portfolio in hardware, fixings/fastenings, door hardware etc. Having acquired successful DIY companies in the past they have recently acquired a garden tool company to add to their portfolio hence this requirement of this role.  

Key Skills/Experience Required:

For this Area Sales Manager role you will have experience selling into garden centres and experience selling tools/hardware of some kind would be advantageous. Knowledge of the garden and DIY sector would be highly beneficial. You will have proven experience in a field sales role and be used to managing your own patch and diary. You will be comfortable merchandising and demonstrating products where necessary.

Salary/Benefits Information: Package of £30,000 - £35,000 + bonus + car + benefits
