The Sales Manager will be tasked with taking my clients offering to the UK market, a market of huge potential as legislative changes are implemented. You will be based from their Edinburgh offices but the role will focus on the main UK retailers throughout the country.

Client Details

My client are a long term technology partner to the largest deposit return scheme markets globally. They are privately owned and last year their machines collected 11.5 billion used beverage containers globally, the equivalent of 100 billion smartphones charged and 300 million litres of oil saved! Ahead of a national roll out of a deposit return scheme in UK, they are looking to add a UK Sales Manager to ensure they are primed to take market share, especially when the new legislation is implemented.


The key responsibilities are as follows:-
  • Be based out of Edinburgh
  • Build strong networks with all major retailers in the UK on all levels from HQ to store level
  • Position my client as the leading supplier of reverse vending machines in the UK
  • Build a strong sales pipe for the coming UK DRS
  • Be able to educate about revers vending machines and deposit return schemes
  • Find new business model that can enable the UK entity to be profitable


Applicants should meet the following criteria:-
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven sales and business development experience.
  • Key account management experience
  • Prior experience selling to retailers in the UK
  • Experience/knowledge of recycling would be beneficial but not essential
  • Degree qualified beneficial
