At White Rabbit we make delicious Italian food that everyone can enjoy. From our award-winning Pizza range to the very exciting NPD on the horizon. We have seen huge success (we grew 50%+ in 2020!) and we’ve got plans to make 2021 our biggest year yet.

We’re looking for a an ambitious, commercially minded finance controller to take ownership of the finance function of a fast-growing, fully integrated food brand.  

Reporting to the Co-Founder your key responsibilities include:

• Accurate analysis of key financial data
• Strong excel skills, with proven financial modelling preferred.
• Transition the business from external to internal finance function so that it is as efficient as possible, whilst allowing you to add maximum value
• Responsible for ensuring overhead budgets are matched or beaten
• Evaluate data effectively and able to communicate articulately to non-financial stakeholders at all levels of the business
• Responsible for highlighting opportunities for maximising profit through initiatives, mix management, value engineering and range optimisation.
• Influence and challenge the business through engaging and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders
• Support the commercial team in pricing, funding and contract conversations
• Ensure all financial models accurately reflect how costs are incurred within the business. Lead the team in continually refining calculations and assumptions to ensure decisions are made based on accurate information and savings are made where possible
• Pro-actively provide recommendations that drive sales and/or profit maximisation
• Lead all financial reporting for the business internally, to the board and the wider shareholder base
• Work with departmental heads to identify and explain monthly variances

About you:

• Previous Commercial Finance experience from a Food Manufacturing / FMCG background.
• Comfortable using your logic to make informed decisions.
• Confident to influence and challenge assumptions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial data clearly.
• Some experience leading HR & legal functions within the business
• ACCA or CIMA
• Desire to grow into Group FC, Finance Director role.
