Ambitious Growth Strategy for the next 5 years

  • Lead and manage the sales team
  • Create strong relationships with key customers at both senior and mid-management levels
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business and as required with colleagues within parent company
  • Develop skill set of the sales team. Identify and develop personnel with potential for further career development
  • Understand the competitive landscape and market trends within Category
  • Understand and effectively communicate the company's vision, strategy and plans to customers and staff
  • In conjunction with marketing and finance team develop stretching but achievable annual customer plans
  • Ongoing analysis of data to be able to make strategic recommendations based on data and trends
  • Develop costed business proposals / recommendations
  • Ability to identify and solve client issues strategically
  • Lead and plan all major negotiations with customers around annual JBPs and price increases
  • Work with all functions across the business to implement targeted sales strategies and plans in line with company priorities
  • Report on all key KPIs related to the sales area - sales, business fuel, gross margin, % gross margin, distribution and rate of sale data.
