- Account Management Focus - Responsible for managing the existing day to day Accounts and support with key projects on larger accounts, and drive year on year account growth
- New Business - Working closely with the Sales Director in identifying and opening up new opportunities. This involves lead generation, managing pipeline, accurately reporting progress and forecasts

Our client is a major player within the Confectionery & Dessert industry. They offer a marvellous product portfolio catering for a wide variety of tastes. They have a excellent presence within Grocery, Duty Free, Online and Food service. They are currently looking to expand their coverage within the Food Service space with the help of a hungry Business Development Manager who thrives of a challenge. Keeping up with market trends and venturing into the expanding vegan market our client is always on top of innovation.
Description
- Working with the NPD and Marketing to develop the two brands that they own within retail.
- Accurately interpret, communicate and deliver sales forecast and pricing
- Working closely with the Operations Director and Production Manager to ensure production plan is in place, and putting measures in place where orders exceed forecast to determine the ability to supply
- Keeping up to date with product knowledge and industry trends, including competitive information and trends
Profile
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in sales and account management within the retail sector
- Ability to lead sales discussions with a view to building long-term customer relationships
- Proven track record to grow accounts within the food industry
- Self-starter and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Organised with a keen eye for detail
- Strong commercial acumen with strengths in reporting, numeracy and budgeting
