Job Description

The core responsibility of the Food Assurance UK Sales Manager is to grow the Food Assurance business in UK. This will involve generating new business and exceeding new business targets in line with the business plans. The successful candidate will support the BUMA in developing Business Plans and Strategies to attract new and retain existing clients to adopt our diversified portfolio of Food Assurance Services and then working with the local teams to execute such plans. The role also includes supporting the acquisition, management and growth of global accounts with work to be delivered in UK and rest of the world

Reporting into the Food Assurance UK BUMA, Eurofins is now looking to recruit a dynamic character to build upon and further develop its activities in UK and involves the following:
 

  • Primarily responsible for generating new leads and meeting the sales targets set out in the sales plan.
  • Active user of CRM system
  • Develop business plans and strategies to attract new customers with our Food Assurance portfolio primarily focusing on certification and auditing, but also training and advisory and food labelling services. 
  • Drive new business growth and grow existing client portfolio
  • Gain a clear understanding of the business model and value proposition, and the key targets for growth in your area.
  • Develop and fine tune the value proposition through our operations and delivery team.
  • Develop Sales and Marketing presentations, tools and material to promote the company’s services associated with Food Assurance in these 4 verticals: Certification, Audit, Training and Advisory (Food Labelling)
  • Liaison with Eurofins within the business line and cross Business Lines to ensure cross selling opportunities where appropriate, especially with the Food and Feed testing Business Line
  • Continually keeping abreast of latest developments in the industry through attending events, networking and industry associations and representing Eurofins through active speaking opportunities, participations to industry events, roundtable discussions.
  • Support the development of new services based on upcoming regulations and quasi regulations in UK and related countries and according to the country and client`s input
  • Work with Country business line leaders and country managers to implement the global and local business strategy wherever needed, and Work with marketing resources accordingly
  • Represents Eurofins Food Assurance  in the industry when required
  • Drive profitable growth and cost control in areas of influence
  • Enhance client relationships through provision of professional support services & and customer care
  • Drive Thought Leadership around Food Safety and Integrity to increase Eurofins profile to customers, industry associations and stakeholders
  • Participate into new product development project and launch of new services

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or advanced degree in Business, Finance or Accounting preferred
  • At least 3 years' experience in sales preferably in a food environment.
  • Sales and Marketing Excellence
  • Local Business Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead  businesses in relation to Food Assurance services in a global environment
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a collaborative environment with knowledge and capabilities to secure appropriate support resources to achieve business goals.
  • A proven track record of new business generation is also highly desirable.
  • Being results orientated and driven to exceed objectives set for turnover, profitability and service promotion is essential
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills is a must
  • Strong business sense, excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Out of the box thinker, self-motivated, result-driven and working independently
  • Travel and overnight stays are required mostly in UK, to a lesser degree in Europe
  • Appropriate knowledge to drive, support and insure
  • Ability to motivate and influence others to act in the appropriate business culture and environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact successfully with internal and external customers and develop communications and report to upper management.
  • Demonstrated ability with personal computer software in a business environment, including word processing, spreadsheet, and email software, Project Management, and resource planning software.
