Who are we?

GROUNDED® is a vc-backed, purpose-led London-based start-up.

We make plant-based functional drinks with absolutely no cr*p in them. 

Run by two like-minded school friends, we launched 4.5 years ago and have sold our previous range into the likes of Sainsburys, WHSmith, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum & Mason. 

We launched the UK’s first 100% natural plant-based protein shakes back in September and have gained a number of premium retailer listings since. We’re currently stocked in the likes of Selfridges, Planet Organic, Soho House, virgin active and Gymbox. We’re now based out of Soho Works in White City and are looking to expand our team (although of course at present we are wfh!).

OPPORTUNITY

We’re looking for a results driven & energetic Sales executive who believes in our products and ethos. This will be a demanding and hands-on role where you’ll be an integral part of a fast growing, purpose-led, sustainable f&b brand. There is a huge opportunity here for career progression; while helping build and manage a successful sales team as we grow. You’ll be implementing our sales strategy across foodservice, premium independents and indeed some export opportunities. You will be responsible for creating and managing leads throughout the entire sales cycle, and then managing the accounts once they have been converted. We’ve put together a very generous (and uncapped) commission structure, which offers one off commission for gaining new accounts & a % of revenue from these accounts for 12 months.

Starting salary: £24k-£30k base (OTE £40K+ including commission) competitive target-based bonus (uncapped) Starting date: March/April 2021

Requirements

  • Several years of experience selling within FMCG (specifically F&B)
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Understand and believe in the brands ethos and range of products
  • Genuine people person
  • Experience growing sales within a fast-growing company
  • Hunger to acquire new customers while keeping the long-term interests of the business in mind.
  •  Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • BSc/BA degree or equivalent

What you’ll be doing

  • Selling in GROUNDED’s plant-based protein shakes to Foodservice, Independents & Grocery.
  • Actively pursue sales leads through emails, phone calls, field sales & brand events.
  • Negotiate pricing with potential customers
  • Organising samples for potential customers
  • Establish, develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
  • Working with and coordinating sales efforts with external partners to secure new customers 
  • Updated CRM with new leads, contacts and progress
  • Analyse the different sector/channels, tracking sales 
  • As the sales team grows, you will be required to manage the team.
