Our client has achieved significant growth across mainland Europe and the UK, with added-value, premium-quality bakery category products which are proving a huge success with both the trade and the consumer.
Privately owned, they have already built two new state-of-the-art manufacturing plants and have a strong strategic vision for further growth including the UK market, where they are planning substantial investment to both accelerate sales growth and build a brand new production facility – exciting times ahead!
Their premium-branded and own-label products are organic and go through a special production process which gives them a real point of difference, delivering high quality visibility and consumer taste appeal.
As a key part of this growth ambition vision, you will steer the UK commercial journey, initially by taking the lead in directly developing the Grocery Retail Multiple customer business, driving sales in line with achievable growth targets. The next phase is to quickly build a high-performing commercial team to support the business development growth, along with modern and structured systems and processes. Following this, you will play a major management role in building a new production facility to further spearhead the sales growth across the UK market.
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
A strong track record of ambitiously growing your FMCG commercial career up to Account Controller/Director or Sales Director, with a substantial track record of profitable sales growth and senior trade connections across the leading grocery retail multiple accounts. Your experience MUST include working in the BAKERY category with a preference on bread, including brand and/or own label products. The role requires an individual with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and with the competence and network to not only build sales quickly, but also a highly professional and effective infrastructure to support the growth.
