As the Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be joining one of the UK’s leading, vertically integrated fresh produce organisations, supplying fresh and prepared speciality vegetables into the UK's retail sector. Our client’s worldwide infrastructure is constantly innovating and is supported by a state of the art technology system which continues to help the business realise it’s true potential. Our client has ambitious plans over the next few years, boasting a robust investment plan. As part of these plans our client are looking to add into their already high performing engineering division.

The role:

As the Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will provide multi-skilled engineering and maintenance cover with a bias towards electrical engineering across all functions. Working as part of the engineering function, you will be part of the team responsible for actioning maintenance practices to ensure best in industry standards for reliability, wastage and cost effectiveness. In addition, you will be responsible for generating and implementing improvement projects within the site to improve plant capability and machine availability.

Principle accountabilities of the role will include:

• Ensuring maximum output and efficiency of all machinery through scheduled maintenance routines
• Ensuring machinery is safe and complies with all regulations
• Supporting continuous improvement projects
• Communicating all maintenance issues effectively at all levels
• Contributing towards the continuous improvement of processes and site services
• Ensuring that safe working practices are followed
• Diagnose, fault-find, commission systems, monitor and assess ongoing machine / facility performance, through PPM programme, identifying any additional works required and complete work requests

Requirements:

To be considered for this opportunity you must have experience operating as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within the food industry. It preferable that you have an electrical bias given the needs of the engineering team. You must be a leader, able to work under pressure and take ownership of problems, managing them to their conclusion.
