Director of Retail (FMCG)

A rare and exciting opportunity to steer, develop and conquer the retail division for an innovative challenger business.

Already at a financial turnover of over £50million. This role has been created due to mass growth and retail demand. The business has year-on-year growth due to their fearless approach to winning business and ensuring their product outshines the rest.

Being well established in the major discounters they are looking to expand into the wider retail space including the major multiple.

A UK owned but global presence spanning 80 countries, this opportunity will be responsible not only national but some international accounts and growth opportunities.

The business provides Branded and Private Label solutions for the Hygiene and Personal Care industry – a very exciting space to be in 2021!

Currently building their leadership team, this is a perfect opportunity to be instrumental in the direction or the retail strategy and implementation.

As Director of Retail, the ideal candidate must have:-

•             Proven track record of leading financial growth through the enhancement of strategic accounts plus targeted approaches of prospective customers

•             A hands-on approach to developing relationships and new accounts

•             Extensive experience working with grocery retail

•             Incredible commercial acumen

•             Experience working within Branded and Private Label.

Whilst this role will certainly be hands-on, this person will be shaping and proposing what the retail sales/account management structure should and/or will be.

As a business that prides itself on its disruptive approach to the market, they are looking to appoint a commercially agile and driven individual that doesn’t follow a blinkered approach.
