Our client:

  • Global, market leading non-food consumer good business with a fantastic reputation in the industry, looking for a Field Sales Manager to join the organisation
  • Portfolio of very well-known products and diverse brands including private-label across multiple categories, predominantly for the home
  • Global presence and stocked in major UK retailers including the top 4 grocers, department stores, high street, online retailers & export to a number of countries
  • Close-knit and collaborative working environment where employees are given trust and autonomy to develop their own career

The role:

  • As Field Sales Manager you will be responsible for a team of Area Sales Managers across the UK
  • You may also have P&L responsibility for your own customers – independent retailers, garden centres, buying groups and small department store groups inc some online
  • Responsible for all team quarterly and annual targets across the area and customer base
  • Full utilisation of all brand strategy, category and space management
  • Ability to build and develop very strong relationships both with customers and colleagues internally
  • Able to lead the team to generate new business and opportunities across the territory
  • Be strategic, able to see the bigger picture and represent a market leading brand with authenticity

Ideal candidate:

  • Experience of managing a field sales team in a structured FMCG or branded consumer goods environment
  • This opportunity would suit a Field Sales Manager or Sales Manager with experience of managing a team of area or field sales reps. May be looking for a change and the chance to join a market leader
  • Experience within a branded non-food consumer goods product category beneficial but not essential. You could also come from a large FMCG business are be looking for a change in direction
  • Team target driven, have a good grounding and classical training
  • Ambitious and driven to develop your career
  • A great attitude, influencer and communicator at all levels
  • Must be driven, tenacious and keen to develop in a growing organisation
  • Location wise – Happy to travel & South-East based, North London/Home counties area would be preferable
