Our client is a leading supplier of health driven, branded and private label ranges, who’s products are proudly boasted on the shelves of a wide variety of customers across the UK market. The business sells into the top 4 grocery retailers, foodservice, contract caterers and independents.
Operating within niche category areas, the business has firmly established itself as a market leading specialist. In a challenging and competitive market the business are enjoying a sustained period of growth.
To support the business and help them achieve their strategic objectives, they are currently looking to recruit a Senior / National Account Manager to take a lead role with 2 of their leading and most critical customer relationships in grocery.
This role is one of two senior account management positions within the commercial structure. Assuming total accountability for the performance of key accounts, you will be empowered in an autonomous manner, to further develop these relationships, working on an ongoing / evolving business plan basis, to ultimately drive additional sales.
The role may also present line management responsibility for the successful candidate, if not immediately, then within 12 months, which may appeal to account managers looking to gain this critical responsibility as you develop your career towards ‘Controller’ or equivalent level.
Experience of working in FMCG categories such as snacks, confectionery or drinks would be highly beneficial. A strong project management record within private label manufacturing environments is important, with exposure to branded ranges also supporting your application.
The business is based in the East, so whilst offering a flexible / home-working contract, will require somebody on site 2/3 days per week on average.
