Job Details

Our client is a highly respected Food group who manufacturer and supply a range of added value chilled & frozen foods from multiple UK manufacturing facilities and enjoy a leading market share across UK Grocery retail and OOH channels. They are succession planning and looking to appoint an experienced site general manager to lead one of their largest sites.

  • Reporting to the Group Operations Director, you will assume complete responsibility for the site with over 300 staff and 5 direct reports covering Production, NPD, Engineering, Technical & HR whilst utilising group supply chain and planning functions to further site performance.
  • Will drive all site operational excellence and people investment initiatives from the front, focusing on delivering against group and customer business plans whilst improving efficiency's across all functions.
  • Will create a close working site SLT and ensure group level objectives are shared/ efficiently translated to staff at all levels and coordinate all customer site visits and audits in a hands on manner .

  • Ideally degree educated, you will have proven track record in an added value Food manufacturing environment with experience leading a similar sized operation through your multi-functional team.
  • With the ability to prove you can increase operational performance you will be keen to showcase your skills in a hands on leadership role where successful people leadership is key to business success.
  • Will have a modern approach to leadership and customer engagement with excellent customer facing communication skills.
