Michael Page are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing Pet Accessories business, based in Berkshire, to recruit this exciting National Account Manager - Pet Accessories.

Our client, established around 25 years ago, are a leading manufacturer or pet accessories. Having established themselves as a market leader they have won a number of awards and pride themselves on providing high quality products at competitive prices.

The National Account Manager - Pet Accessories:
  • Drive sales and profitability across your accounts
  • Attend buyer meetings, agree joint business plans and drive margins
  • Investigate new potential account opportunities
  • Have a complete understanding of your customer's strategy, shopper, needs and requirements
  • Strategic business planning, implementing this strategy
  • Retail sales reporting and analysis
  • Maximise the profitability of all new listings
  • Consumer and market research project execution and analysis
  • Attend trade show when possible
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis
  • Ensure quality consistency across all assigned clients
  • Set and meet sales targets
  • Demonstrate a high level of rigour in all aspects of internal & external administration
  • Be a team member who supports the total business goals
  • Be an effective team player building good working relationships with all internal departments
  • Always demonstrate a clear understanding of your customer's needs
  • Keep on top of all aspects of administration
  • Respect company values.


The Successful National Account Manager - Pet Accessories:
  • Proven track record in an FMCG / Pet Food / Pet Accessories business
  • Currently excelling in a regional or national accounts role
  • Experience building brands with key retailers and distributors
  • Account management - leveraging relationships and contact to drive increased profits
  • New business - comfortable investigating new account opportunities
  • Can do attitude
  • Positive approach and team player
  • Ambitious and driven character - keen to be successful and prove their value
  • Able to work at a fast pace
  • Innovative thinker, someone who enjoys challenging themselves to get better and add great ideas to the sales strategy
  • Ideally have some experience working within a small business
  • Happy to commute to a West Berkshire head office twice a week.

Job Offer

- £40,000 - £45,000 per annum basic salary
