Position:   Operations Team Leader

Based:      Littleborough, UK

Salary:       Competitive      

Operations Team Leader is responsible for the overall support of operations at both WLR and NMS.

The key objective of this role is to support Operational Excellence and JTE through robust systems, governance and control mechanisms. This will include (but not limited to) labour control, material variance, JTE Pillar work, Budget and PO control and other general administravtive duties. The role will also provide holiday and absence cover for our Team Leader pool.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing general administrative support to both Production sites under the direction of the Department Manager(s) with regards to such aspects as:
  • Stationary
  • Kitchen Supplies
  • Taxi Rental
  • KPI input
  • 1-2-1 calendar and compliance per site
  • Training Compliance per site
  • Own the consolidation and verification of temporary labor time and attendance.
  • Ensuring accurate reporting and PO creation. In addition to providing reference to budgeted costs and headcounts for both production sites.
  • Control of Absence figures and governance of RTW process. Manage our SWA compliance at both sites.
  • Focus on cost reduction programs, process improvements, as well as evaluation and recommendation of process improvements and automation - to support the sites JTE journey.
  • Provide governance for site Utility usage and waste disposal. Including the accurate reporting of usage
  • CANDIDATE PROFILE

    • Knowledge and experience with plant operations, packaging and processing equipment is required.
    • Experience developing and writing procedures with cross functional teams. First line management experience. 
    • Excellent cross functional communication skills and full involvement with the JTE system.
    • Proficiency in the organisation and communication of information.
    • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
    • Able to work independently
    • Mastery in MS Office (Excel, Access, Project, PowerPoint, Word) required. SAP, Adobe Acrobat Writer experience.
    • Working knowledge of Operational Excellence systems
    • Working knowledge of facilitative coaching and mentoring
    • Working knoweldge of TWI, Systems Thinking, Policy Deployment, Quality Systems, strong Financial Acumen
