My client is a well-loved known and respected branded global FMCG business based in the South East. The business operates in a truly exciting category and one that from an eCommerce perspective is set to grow. As a plus £1bn business, they experienced double digit sales growth and double digital top line growth last year and were revered for new product launches.

Due to the growth of the channel, they now have an opportunity for an experience eCommerce professional to join the business and manage the execution of ecommerce within 3 high growth markets (Netherlands, Spain & Italy) where they do not have direct teams.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Deliver eCommerce channel development and achieve ambitious performance metrics in 3 key Western Europe 3rd party markets – Netherlands, Spain and Italy
  • Take accountability to execute the global and regional eCommerce strategies in each priority market
  • Accountability to develop and lead the local eCommerce strategies, in conjunction with 3rd party distributors
  • Partner with the EMEA Digital Marketing Manager to ensure omni-channel execution of key brand plans across all digital and eCommerce consumer touch points
  • Form part of the ‘Virtual Global Amazon task force’ to create a sustainable growth platform in the Netherlands, Spain and Italy
  • Lead the implementation of Direct to Consumer (DTC) roll out and execution into the Netherlands, Spain and Italy
  • Develop and lead commercial and brand plans to exploit emerging eCommerce channels
  • Develop relationships with key customers (Grocery, Specialists, Amazon, On-Demand) in each market
  • Take accountability to measure and evaluate eCommerce performance and to influence the Route to Consumer (RTC) plans in each market

Skills and experience:

  • Strong eCommerce experience at strategy and implementation levels with proven success
  • Significant omni-channel marketing experience with a focus towards developing and executing brand plans across multiple digital touch points
  • Significant international commercial experience including P&L ownership and analysis; comfortable with key financial metrics across markets and brand portfolios
  • Strong AMAZON vendor experience & preferably seller experience
  • Significant experience in working in diverse and challenging environments
  • Exceptional influencing & relationship building skills across a very broad range of internal and external stakeholders
  • High personal impact
  • Creative thinker; suggesting viable new ideas, concepts and approaches
  • Disruptive mind-set – really understanding conventions and challenging these to get the brands/activations noticed and impacting consumer behaviour
  • High cultural awareness with the ability to adapt communication style as required
