About The Role

This role will cover Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset with parts of Surrey and Berkshire.

Are you looking for an exciting and autonomous role within business development, supporting our independent retailers?

 

Here at Costcutter, we have an opportunity to join our team, working in this fast-paced environment you will play an absolutely integral part in managing our vital partnerships with our retailers.

Based on your sound retailing experience, commercial expertise and superb customer service you will provide end to end support to your retailers and their businesses; delivering sales and margin across a defined geographical area. You will closely manage store development and implement business initiatives, achieving this through effective influencing and maintaining a strong personal brand. You will be fully accountable for the delivery of all KPIs and maintaining effective communications and engagement with our retailers.

The BDM will ensure key accounts are fully supported with tailored support focussing on sales, profit, loyalty, operating standards, investment & development and identify ongoing growth opportunities.

About You

 You will ideally have an excellent commercial understanding of the convenience sector, but the key requirement is demonstrating strong commercial acumen and provide excellent customer service.  This may therefore have been achieved in other retail sectors or potentially the hospitality sector.  What is important, is that you are driven, enthusiastic and a great problem solver with the ability to build exceptional relationships.

You will have the ability to understand a profit and loss account and understand commercial and financial information and spot opportunities for growth and development. Using your attention to detail you will improve retailing standards and ensure the customer and our retailers are at the heart of the decisions we make.

Knowledge of PC applications including Microsoft Word and Excel is essential along with knowledge of EPOS including interrogation of data.
