Ecommerce Account Manager

FMCG company

Responsible for: Online specific accounts such as Amazon and/or company website sales. Responsible for P&L responsibility of delivering budgeted sales.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage key online customers
  • Manage company website sales
  • Work closely with the sales team to support online grocery activities
  • Identify, drive and succeed with other online and e-commerce focused opportunities
  • Online specialist for the sales team, supporting on key negotiations and projects
  • Optimise product visibility online and executing impactful digital campaigns
  • Manage online customer relationships and be aligned with customers on strategy
  • Lead ecommerce best practice and sharing across the sales team
  • Responsibility for promotional support budget across key accounts
  • Set ecommerce targets and deliver monthly reporting to managers
  • Deliver ecommerce test & learn initiatives against joint priorities to drive future growth
  • Deliver and share competitive ecommerce insights with the wider business
  • Be an active and collaborative member of the sales team, contributing fully to idea generation

Account & Business Plans:

  • Create and manage annual account plans to deliver business objectives.
  • Lead & negotiate agreement of Joint Business Plans
  • Meet annual budget targets
  • Deliver annual promotional campaigns, ensuring that promotions are communicated, forecasted, delivered, and evaluated.
  • Promotional activity to be delivered within agreed spend guidelines

Sales Forecasts:

  • Proactively drive sales with existing accounts at all times
  • Proactively drive new business opportunities at all times
  • Update monthly sales forecasts – working with Operations and Finance
  • Adhere to internal processes and timescales for forecasting and sales planning

Person specification:

  • Experience / proven success of e-commerce and digital sales strategy
  • Experience / proven success of digital marketing, role of content and search
  • All round commercial business acumen
  • Experience of managing company’s own website sales
  • Experience of managing Amazon and/or other online accounts and negotiating JBPs
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Budget management and data analysis experience

Other:

This role is full time and office based - North Yorkshire

Salary – Dependent on experience + private health
