The Company

A global multi $bn food group with a UK-based division, manufacturing branded and own label added-value, multi-ambient food category products. A household-name brand, with a number of product category leading positions supported with significant marketing investment and strong innovation NPD, ready for 2021 trade launch.

This is a well structured business with a clear strategy for substantial growth in the UK market who is now looking for additional talent to join its commercial grocery retail team.  

  
The Role

You will manage the existing £10m+ business in major wholesale and convenience accounts, including Booker and Coop, as well as taking the lead with targeted new accounts in these channels, where there are huge opportunities for business development. In line with the trading strategy this will focus on a number of branded cross-category products as well as some outstanding new product development ready for 2021 trade launch.

This role will report to the head of retail sales and take full responsibility for all major customer negotiations, P&L management and relationship developments. You will also have the platform to help shape and develop the individual channel future trading strategies, focused on strongly driving profitable sales growth.

 
About You

Having grown and developed your career up to NAM level within recognised FMCG food or drink branded companies, you are looking for a fresh challenge or want to step up your career into a higher profile role where your results will be fully recognised. To be considered for this role you MUST have NAM level experience of managing a selection of both wholesale and convenience retail major accounts including all JBP negotiations, commercial P&L management and modern, fact-based category insight-led story selling.
