The company
Our client is a successful division of a major FMCG company operating across a number of diverse categories. The company specialises in Natural, Free From, Fairtrade and Organic food and drink distributed through major multiples, health food shops and independent retailers. The culture is supportive, inclusive and fast paced. They are looking for a Supply Planning Manager to join their team in North Wales and lead the production capacity / raw materials process. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in leading the S & Op agenda with key stakeholders across the business.

The role
The primary objective of this role is to own the supply chain planning process, delivering production plan efficiency, through robust forecasting, optimum stock management and superior communication channels. You will ensure a consistent level of optimum inventory to manage customer fluctuations while managing working capital. You will continually seek ways to improve the planning and purchasing processes, by optimising operations and continually revisiting the master data, to achieve agreed key performance indicator targets.
You will ensure stock issues are identified and resolutions proposed and actioned. You will devise a best-in-class team structure, and recruit and coach your team to high performance levels. This is a broad and varied role and presents a real opportunity to be at the centre of this growing business.

About you
The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of supply planning gained in an FMCG organisation. You will be well versed in interpreting data from different sources and translating this into a production plan that ensures customer availability is protected but best value from production assets is achieved. You’ll be a strong communicator, with good influencing skills and a willingness to work cross functionally. 
You possess strong planning and organising capabilities. A strong team leader, you are flexible and able to adapt to change at short notice, in line with the demands of the business.
The factory is based in North Wales however there is some home working flexibility so candidates from the North West England can also apply.
