Junior National Account Manager – Ocado / Coop
£36,125 to £45,098 Basic plus bonus and plus a company car
Our client is already a leader in the ambient food category with both branded and own label offerings in most of the top four major multiples. They have just however listed with Ocado and business is brisk to say the very least. This role is to look after and manage Ocado plus a number of development accounts likely to be some of the smaller grocery multiples plus the Coop; the common theme being that all the accounts enjoy significant development potential. It will be your job to facilitate and manage that growth in business to the best joint best interests of the retailers and the manufacturer itself. The potential for personal growth and to make a name for yourself is every bit as great as the commercial opportunity itself, and career opportunities will be plentiful for the right candidate. And although a junior role you will be empowered with as much autonomy as you need to make your own commercially robust business plan, and day to day commercial decisions. Support will however be on hand from senior colleagues, if and when required.
To be considered for this exciting opportunity you should be used to selling on a category basis, being able to create compelling commercial arguments to buyers based on the data from their own portals as well as third party market intelligence data. It’s essential therefor that you understand data analysis/ insights and that you have had experience of working with at least one of the retailer’s own supplier portals. Data manipulation and management is an integral part of the job so you should also be comfortable enough with spreadsheets.
Previous experience managing or helping to manage the Ocado and/or Co-op accounts would be preferred.
In return for your dedication and effort, our client is prepared to pay a basic salary of between £36,125 to £45,098 plus bonus and plus a company car.
The position is mostly office based and you should live somewhere in central England ( no further south than the M4, and no further north than Nottingham please ).
