My client are seeking a Sales Director to drive and implement the sales strategy. You will also have influence on achieving the marketing and NPD programs to meet agreed targets and increase market share.

My client are a market leader within the licenses health and beauty sector with a reputation for producing award winning licensed products. They are a fast paced SME with lots of growth potential.

They already work with established brands and major UK retailers including Primark, Sainsburys, Tesco, Amazon, Superdrug and Boots.

Description
  • Create and implement the sales strategy and marketing plans to successfully achieve the business objectives.
  • Develop an operating budget for the sales division that meets business goals.
  • Use available data to accurately forecast sales and set appropriate performance goals.
  • Complete market research and analyse results to adjust sales and marketing strategy for maximum success.
  • Monitor competitors' products, including relevant sales and marketing data.
  • Setting revenue targets for the company and setting key performance indicators.
  • Meeting with the sales managers monthly to assess company performance against KPI's.
  • Presenting sales results to the board monthly.
  • Speaking at conferences and events about the company's products and services.
  • Implementing sales strategies across the company and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Working closely with the national accounts managers to secure larger accounts.
  • Implementing a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.
  • Ensuring the organisation has an effective sales training programme.
  • Working with members of the board on budgeting and planning.
  • Negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring commerciality.


Profile
  • Minimum five years' experience in leading a sales team and can demonstrate the ability to meet or exceed targets
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth.
  • Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to staff members.
  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective customers.
  • Demonstrate skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts.
  • Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
  • Formal sales training would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience in Health and Beauty sector
