As Store Development buyer you will be responsible for negotiating with shopfitters and suppliers to obtain the best possible rates to ensure that we offer the best value for money to our retailers for all development work. You will actively source new shopfitters and equipment suppliers with the view to driving down costs, introducing greater competition and providing the best value.
This role will be responsible for ensuring all due diligence is done and correct procedures are followed when signing up any potential new shopfitters or suppliers and negotiate commission terms with all shopfitters and suppliers with a view to meeting Store Development revenue targets.
You will liaise with the Store Development team and assist with tender documentation and effectively tender each element of the project to a minimum of three contractors and suppliers with a view of providing the best possible value to the retailer.
To be successful in this role you will need to be an experienced buyer with strong negotiation skills, knowledge of Store Development and Convenience sector and demonstrate evidence of value engineering and competitive tendering.
A confident, driven and enthusiastic person who has the ability to work under pressure, prioritise and handle challenging and changing situations. You will also be a motivational leader and demonstrate people management skills to enable high levels of colleague engagement and performance.
