National Account Manager | Food | Corby | ~£55k

Are you an up and coming account manager that is driven to progress your career? Do you have experienced in supplying the major UK retailers with a mixture of food products? If so, we want to hear from you.


About Our Client

Our client is a leading chilled and ambient food business with a large portfolio of customers including many of the major food retailers, clients in the foodservice channel and B2B customers. They are an established business with a good reputation and are part of a larger group. With recent projects to secure longer-term business partnerships, this is an exciting time to join the company. They have some ambitious growth plans for this site, having delivered fantastic results at other sites within the business. You will report to the commercial director and be responsible for the performance of the site and team.



About the Role
We are seeking a talented food retail account manager who has a track record of delivering results. You will be responsible for the effective, profitable and progressive commercial management of retail accounts. Serving major multiples in a fast pace environment you will be able to work under pressure to develop and manage existing sales whilst driving profitable sales growth in your area of responsibility. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable presenting to internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to form lasting relationships with retail buyers and internal teams. You will take a category led approach which focuses on the consumer and adding value to the retailers' range.


The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will come from an own label food manufacturing background with a proven track record of delivering commercial results through effective account management. You will be a strategic thinker and have a dynamic and resilient personality. You will be able to demonstrate what you have done to grow accounts and form lasting relationships with retail buyers. You will be a hard worker who is dedicated to drive the business forward with a proven track record of delivering commercial results. You will be articulate, very polished and presentable and have a good knowledge of the food industry. You will be adaptable and able to adjust your style and approach depending on the customer in front of you on any given day. Ideally, you will be GAP negotiation trained and also have solid training in category management.



Minimum Requirements

Very simple really, to be considered for this role as a minimum you must:
  • Have a proven track record with the major food retailers
  • Have great communication skills and be able to communicate and work at pace.
  • Be a strong team player who is hardworking, articulate and polished
  • Be flexible and adaptable in your approach to customers.
  • Be able to be based from the offices in Corby.
  • Have a real drive to progress your career




Salary

~£45-55k DOE
