My client is a privately owned family business selling Toy & Gift products into over 30,000 retailers worldwide. Established over 30 years ago, the business is family owned and are known for their innovative, quality and safe products, with tens of millions of products sold to happy customers worldwide.
Due to a restructure in the sales team, the business is recruiting a Sales Director. As Sales Director you will be responsible for all sales within the UK and internationally. You will inherit a portfolio of accounts which include Sainsbury's, Tesco, Dunelm, River Island, Debenhams among many others. Along with the UK account management you will also inherit international distribution accounts in countries such as Spain, Belgium, Germany among others. There will be an element of new business to the role both in the UK and internationally.
The successful candidate must have a proven track record of managing large retail accounts and have been successful in opening new business accounts and generating an increase in overall account turnover. Experience selling into International Distributors would be an advantage. People management experience is a essential. Previous Gift/Toy/Licensed product experience is essential.
