Job Details

PepsiCo are looking for a fantastic individual to join our eCommerce team and build on our digital business presence. We are after someone who can work wonders with complex category and shopper data to solve problems and deliver actionable insight.

This is a great opportunity if you have a passion for a digital agenda. Our Category and Insights team is a core part of our eCommerce sales function, covering everything from category management, to shopper research and sales strategy.

You'll build collaborative relationships with our commercial colleagues and lead category projects with eCommerce retailers, balancing their short term requirements with longer term thinking and research to advance our eCommerce capability. Your focus will be on finding out what's happening, why it's happening and, more importantly, what to do about it across the eCommerce landscape.

What you'll get up to:

  • Liaise with eCommerce teams to understand insight requirements and deliver research & recommendations that drives action to help PepsiCo, the retailer and the shopper
  • Develop category scorecards & communication channels to derive the right insight for today's operation & building towards future business areas & opportunities
  • Be the category expert for our priority eCommerce retailers, leveraging your in-depth understanding of the market, the category, and performance drivers. You'll advise on all aspects of the online shopping experience to accelerate category growth
  • Champion the digital shopper in internal and external discussions, ensuring that the motivations, triggers and barriers for shopper decision making are understood
  • Identify and close any critical knowledge gaps by leading eCommerce insight projects from brief to delivery, working with external agency partners and internal teams to deliver useful and impactful insight, and integrate those learnings into key business processes and outputs
  • Consult with Sector, Category and Consumer Insight teams on forthcoming marketing, sales and insight innovation to ensure actionable shopper-led plans for eCommerce
  • Strong analytics- ability to synthesise, interrogate and integrate learning from multiple sources
  • Excellent project management- ability to co-ordinate several diverse stakeholders and to manage performance of external suppliers.
  • Aptitude to learn fast - able to absorb and integrate new facts and methodologies into normal operating process.
  • Effective communication- accurately identifies the role of different stakeholders & tailors communication messages & style accordingly.
  • Challenge & Influencing- experienced & effective at influencing and challenging senior internal stakeholders and agencies.
  • Compelling Presentation - comfortable presenting internally / externally to all levels
  • Focused & Proactive - Attention to detail, with ability to spot potential problems and proactively plan to avoid them in advance.
  • Flexible and responsive - prepared to discover new solutions to new challenges as they arise and remain tenacious in achieving the required result

The standout candidate would have:

  • Sound knowledge & experience of eCommerce & Digital business & operations
  • In-depth understanding of Category Management and Selling With Insight principles
  • Proven success in key customer-facing role within an FMCG brand leader
