This role is to continue to increase International retail sales, profitably, across the designated regions and to create excellent customer working relationships, building on the brand presence already established in key markets and to appoint new distributors as agreed and identified in the overall Company Business Plan.

Description

The responsibilities of the role are:

  • Delivering Strategy: Manages the delivery of the bespoke Sales strategy by market from the Company's product range to a global marketplace via appointed distributors.


  • Client Management: Leads and manages relationship with international clients to maximise growth opportunities through Customer sales visits, preparation and delivery of effective presentations to distributors including business reviews, new product development programmes, category information and growth/business plans.


  • Client Information: Manages the international Distributor relationships and day to day account management, always in the best interests of the Company. Arranges weekly/monthly customer sales calls, preparing detailed agendas, circulating notes and ensuring actions duly executed. Represents the company at trade exhibitions, conferences and networking events.


  • Commercial Acumen: Acts as an expert to identify and recommend development opportunities for the international business. Feeds future market buying trends back to product team. Ensures profitability and delivery of a set and clear KPI's for the international division.


  • Negotiation: Negotiates as an expert to deliver the best opportunities on price, deliveries and specifications. Helps to negotiate and establish distribution agreements.




  • Customer Analysis: Reviews research and data in order to develop a sound understanding of customer and market conditions.


  • Planning & Organisation: Maintains and records accurate sales & order information ensuring copies of orders processed as set out and required through internal systems. Liaises with internal teams to check progress of orders and ensure on-time deliveries. Set and be responsible for monthly and annual sales & profit targets by market and by product. Prepare and present monthly and annual detailed sales reports aiming to meet or exceed sales targets. Plan & agree with Exec monthly & annual travel budget.


  • Industry Competence: Demonstrate high levels of technical competence and has international sales experience across the consumer sector


Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • Strong commercial awareness and with a proven track record of developing profitable business with both existing and new business clients.
  • The ability to demonstrate a highly professional approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial with the drive and passion to succeed.
  • Highly motivated and energetic with the ability to motivate, enthuse others and with a remit to grow sales.
  • Innovative, ensuring new ideas are heard and developed whilst at the same time assessing the business capability to absorb them.
  • Organised, thorough with an eye for detail.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability in working closely with department heads whilst reporting to the Executive.
  • Experience gained within a dynamic, entrepreneurial medium sized business.
  • The ability to demonstrate a sustained track record of developing new business in international markets.
  • P&L / budgeting experience
