As a result of this continued success, they are now looking to further expand our UK business with a key category appointment.

The Role

This new role represents the desire and commitment to strengthen the team’s customer facing category management capability and support the ambitious growth agenda for the years ahead.

To this effect they are now seeking a Category Manager capable of driving category growth across a varied customer base centered on major retailers. Through utilisation of category management principles you will work cross functionally to develop and implement holistic shopper-based category strategy tailored to customer specific strategies and plans.  

You will be the champion of the category for the company and with this be responsible for delivering category range reviews in conjunction with maximising trade activation opportunities.

Working closely with internal commercial and marketing teams and externally with the retailer you will develop a deep understanding of the customer – shopper – consumer relationship and their attitude and behaviours towards the category to deliver targeted growth.

The Person

You must hold and be able to present success within an FMCG category or related analysis role. As well as this, you will be fully adept and competent in the use of various internal and external data tools and sources such as Kantar, Nielsen or IRI.

You will be surrounded by exceptionally well trained, hungry and engaging like-minded people. You will learn not just from the people above you but from the team around you so you must be open to constant personal and professional development.

The right level of experience will be in part measured by your track record of delivering strong range reviews, affinity with the relevant data, and an ability to think strategically beyond the data. However it will be intelligence, attitude and fit which will see you become a long term integral member of the team.
