Heat Mat is a customer service/sales focused business manufacturing and distributing electric underfloor heating and external ice and snow melting into the UK market.

We are now recruiting for a Business Development Account Manager to build relationships with key strategic partners across a wide audience spectrum including electrical wholesalers, tile retailers, architects and specifiers.  We are looking for a candidate with strong customer facing skills that is looking for a new challenge and is ready to develop their career in a business that will make the most of their talents and help them develop their strengths.

The role is to increase sales and market share by building excellent relationships with key partners and via new business generation. The successful candidate will ideally have demonstrable experience selling to the electrical wholesaler and specifier market or may have worked within the electrical wholesale market; however, we will consider a candidate from outside of this market if relevant experience and skills can be demonstrated.  

The qualities we are looking for in our successful recruit is that they must be driven, and target orientated with a true desire to succeed and can increase the profile of our trusted brand. They will need to prioritise their own workload whilst also being able to work with the inhouse sales team. We will also look to the successful candidate to monitor and report on sector developments and competitor activities.

The successful candidate will be trustworthy, have a strong work ethic, are able to work independently/as part of a team and have a likeable personality that allows them to engage with our customers as we are a people/relationship driven business.

A full driving licence is essential and some experience of dealing with major construction and housebuilding companies would also be advantageous.

The role will suit someone living in the AL/EN/KT/CR postcodes and with easy access to the motorway network. The territory covers London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.
