UK Based – Preferably London

My client, CraftCan Travel LLC, based in NY - USA, exclusive exporters of US craft brands including Kona, Red Hook, Wilmer and Omission are currently looking for an experienced sales individual to be responsible for their UK business and various other markets throughout Europe. The primary objective of this position is to increase sales in both On and Off trade in close cooperation with the UK importer and longer term doing the same with other partners in Europe.
This role will be responsible for (co-) planning, helping to establish and implement strategies and goals, support the growth objectives and revenue targets set by both the US Distributor and the UK importer. Next to that ‘hands on’ working individually and with our partners representatives on a daily basis by identifying new opportunities both regarding ‘independents’ level as well as national accounts level (pub groups and retail chains).
This position is based in the UK and requires significant travel.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the importer to execute year plans (MAT’s) including SKU’s, pricing, sales volumes, marketing support, distribution targets, budget allocations, identifying new opportunities and tools required.
- Liaison – work ‘hands-on’ with the various marketing representatives of the importing partner.
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long lasting relationships.
- Gather market and customer information and provide feedback and trends.
- Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to interact effectively with management, customers, operations and logistics.
- Assist importer with any product / supply issues and problems faced by customers.
- Provide weekly market visit recap to those concerned.
- Reporting monthly sales, stock and forecasts reviews.
Job Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years successful sales within the craft beer industry in the UK.
- Excellent organisational, communication and presentation skills.
- ‘Hands-on’: strong selling and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer services skills and the ability to grow and manage customer relationships.
- Work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent oral and written communications.
- Requires computer knowledge and proficient using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Must be authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
- Additional project management as assigned.
Additional Information
- Position is located in the London area and requires significant travel within the UK and over time in Europe.
- A background of export experience in Europe would be beneficial
