Job Details

The Company:

A well respected and well established business, our client is a key player in the flooring sector.

The Role:

You role in the business will be to look after the company’s commercial and residential customers, calling on distributors and residential showrooms across the south of the country. Also, to build relationships with the distributor trade counter managers and to support the external sales team to ensure the business is delivering a first class service to their customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Work effectively as part of the commercial and wider team.
  • Stocking up display stands with the company’s portfolio of carpet tiles, LVT and sheet vinyl.
  • Developing relationships with customers and understanding their business needs.
  • Communicating with the external sales team when needed.
  • Understand the company’s range of products, willing to learn and evolve with the role.
  • Some aspects of heavy lifting and building display stands.
  • Fulfill administrative tasks such as monthly reports, CRM updates and expenses in a timely fashion.
  • Meet financial, product, administrative and behavioral targets.
  • Able to take initiative and solve problems.
  • Identify opportunities for brands within the business.
  • Willing to travel / occasional stays away (depending on location).
  • Uphold the culture and values of the business.

Full training will be provided and for the right candidate, the company will work with you to develop your skills and may offer an opportunity to progress in the company and possibly become part of their sales team in the future.

Full uniform, company van, company credit card, phone, laptop will be provided.

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have either previous field merchandising or sales experience or perhaps currently be working in a showroom/retail environment looking for a move into field merchandising.
